A free guide for parents and carers
Peaceful nights, steadier days
The HushAway® Sleep Guide for Parents
If your child is tired but can’t switch off, wakes in the night, or turns bedtime into a battle, you are far from alone. According to The Sleep Charity, around 40% of children have a sleep issue at any one time, rising to 80 to 90% for children with special educational needs. This free 20-page guide explains why sleep can be harder for neurodivergent and sensitive children, what a calmer evening can look like, and gentle, low-pressure steps you can start tonight.

“Above all, know that good sleep routines take time, bad nights happen now and again, and you’re not alone. You can do this.”

HushAway® is a UK-based audio library of stories, affirmations and soundscapes for children aged 4 to 10 years. It was built from the ground up for neurodivergent children, not neurotypical content relabelled. It is low-demand and instruction-free, designed to become a gentle, familiar part of a child’s everyday routine, not a sticking plaster for moments of crisis. There are no “calm down” steps to follow. Our stories and sounds are frequency-based, using Solfeggio frequencies, binaural beats and ASMR-informed soundscapes, and we are research-informed and backed by the Circle of Experts and SoundSonic® Ambassadors.
You can try it with a 14-day free trial of the Sound Sanctuary membership, which gives you access to a selection of stories and sounds before any payment, with no commitment upfront.
HushAway® is a sound-therapy-informed regulation tool. It is not a medical or clinical treatment.
Questions parents ask
Is the guide really free?
Yes. Fill in the form and the guide is yours to download, keep and share.
Who is the guide for?
Parents and carers of children aged 4 to 10 years, especially if your child is autistic, has ADHD, sensory differences or anxiety, or simply feels everything a little more.
My child is exhausted but still won’t sleep. Is that normal?
Very. Tired and sleepy are two different things, and an overtired child can look wired rather than drowsy. The guide explains why this happens and what tends to help.
How is HushAway® different from apps like Calm, Headspace or Moshi?
Popular apps offer lovely content, but much of it was designed for a general audience, and guided exercises can feel like one more instruction to a child who is already overloaded. HushAway® is instruction-free. The stories and soundscapes simply play in the background, and it was built from the ground up for neurodivergent children aged 4 to 10 years.
Is HushAway® a therapy?
No. HushAway® is a sound-therapy-informed regulation tool. It is not a medical treatment and doesn’t replace advice from your GP or other professionals.
Can I try HushAway® before paying?
Yes. The 14-day free trial gives you a selection of stories and sounds from the Sound Sanctuary, including The Sleepy Feather, before any payment, with no commitment upfront.
